    We used to be completely broken. But now we are grateful for undeserved redemption, astonished by amazing Grace, healed by forgiveness, humbled by the divine invitation to be included in the greatest cause on earth. The realization of this truth is what inspires us to worship the Lord. God is seeking authentic worshipers and this is the reason we desire to be a worshiping church.  We want people to live a lifestyle of worship unto God on a daily basis, and we want to put Jesus at the center of our corporate gatherings.

    Lothian Church of God Academy (LoCoGA)
    Homeschool Umbrella

    Established in 2005, by the late Bishop George W. Hawkins, Sr., LoCoGA is a homeschool umbrella, certified and approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to supervise Home Instruction. LoCoGA provides accountability, oversight and record keeping for each homeschooled student.  Not only offering supervision, LoCoGA provides members with homeschool aides, group days, and field trips to help enrich your homeschool experience.  We pray for and extend support to all families who want to provide their children with a Christian home education.

    AWANA Club

    The Youth Department is excited to offer once again, AWANA Clubs, ministering to children in grades Pre-K to High School. We have witnessed God working in the hearts of the children as they absorbed the Word and became excited about applying it to their lives. 


    There are 5 AWANA Club groups available for your child(ren):

    Cubbies (3 year old; potty-trained*)

    Sparks (Grades K-2)

    Truth & Training (Grades 3-5)

    Trek (Middle School)

    Journey (High School)


    Each instructor is careful in handling the Word and caring for the spiritual needs of your child.
